Gender Bias in the Sciences: A Panel Discussion
WISAY hosted a panel of Yale women faculty and researchers to discuss a study done by Yale scientists and published in PNAS that shows evidence for unconscious bias against female scientists from professors at top universities around the country.
The panelists were:
-Rana Dajani- Fulbright Visiting Assistant Professor, Hashemite University of Jordan
-Corinne Moss-Racusin- First author of the PNAS paper, "Science faculty’s subtle gender biases favor male students"
-Priyamvada Natarajan- Professors of Astronomy and Physics and Chair of the Yale Women's Faculty Forum.
-Meg Urry - Israel Munson professor of physics and astronomy and chairwoman of the department of physics
